Bourla lunches and laughs
Today Kara and I were graciously hosted by Maya and Indira at the Bourla flats--we had an amazing lunch accompanied by lots of lime pickle and spicy bitter gourd (grown right in the garden at Bahji!) We laughed the whole time, especially when Maya brought out one of the native costumes from Nepal. Apparently the women who wear this gorgeous (and heavy) outfit do so on a daily basis, along with the equivalent of a treasure chest of silver jewelry! It was so wonderful to have fellowship with these beautiful Nepalese and American sisters. :D
